Dickey’s Barbecue Pit recently celebrated its grand opening in Roseville.

The Texas-style barbecue eatery in Roseville is family owned by Tom Sjoberg, Tamara Doney-Sjoberg, Elliot Sjoberg and Mark Doney.

The Dickey's chain originated in Dallas, Texas in 1941. Currently there are 165 Dickey’s Barbecue Pit locations nationwide, but the Roseville opening marks the first location for Northern California.

The restaurant’s menu features barbecue favorites such as brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken and hot links that are slow-cooked and smoked on site over hickory chips.

The quick-service, family-oriented restaurant also features full service delivery, take-out and catering specials.
