Nominate moms for smile makeover
Rocklin dentist Darce Slate DDS of PURE Dentistry is in search of a mother worthy of a smile makeover. Through nominations, a mother whose life has been affected by her smile, will receive a new smile. The makeover will conclude on Mother’s Day, May 9, with a celebratory brunch at a local restaurant. “Project Smile Again Sacramento – Mother’s Day is another piece of the pro bono work I have been doing quietly for years,” Slate said. “A healthy smile radiates openness, confidence and joy. Without that ability, people tend to feel shame and have lower self-esteem. At PURE Dentistry, we have chosen to celebrate Mother’s Day in our way by allowing the community to be involved in selecting one great mom for the makeover of a lifetime.” Nominations can be made through April 15 by submitting an essay of 200 words or less on how the person’s smile has affected their life. Frontier Dental Laboratories of El Dorado Hills, a leader in cosmetic dentistry, has joined Slate by offering to donate veneers. “We are committed as a company to supporting the second chances of people in our community,” said Brent West, Frontier’s vice president and general manager.
