Strong play at the net from Bryan Berry, Michael Bertolino and Alex Kimble were key as the Granite Bay High junior varsity volleyball team got off to a great start Wednesday at Roseville.

The Grizzlies rode the early momentum to a 25-10, 25-18 sweep of the Tigers in a Sierra Foothill League match.

After Granite Bay cruised through the first game, Roseville made a much better showing in game two, but the end result was the same. It was 10-10 when the Grizzlies' Jake Neptune provided the defense and Carson Odegard the offense that allowed the Grizzlies to put the match away.
