Meeting scheduled for Fiddyment Ranch development project
Public will have the chance to comment on Fiddyment Ranch Subsequent Environmental Impact Report during meeting
The City of Roseville will hold a public meeting to review the Subsequent Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) for the Fiddyment Ranch development project. The report will identify potential environment effects and mitigation measures to lesson or eliminate those impacts. City staff previously determined that a draft Environmental Impact Report would be needed for the Fiddyment Ranch Specific Plan Amendment 3 Project. Fiddyment Ranch resides within the West Roseville Specific Plan. This area is located in the northwest corner of the city, about three miles west of the Highway 65 interchange and Blue Oaks Boulevard. The 1,678-acre Fiddyment Ranch is bound by Blue Oaks Boulevard and Phillip Road to the south, and Fiddyment Road and Crocker Ranch Road to the east. The proposed Specific Plan Amendment 3 Project would increase the number of residential units within Fiddyment Ranch by 1,905 units, which includes 580 low-density residential units, 609 medium-density units and 716 high-density units. The proposed amendment would also allow for an additional 7.27 acres of commercial land use within this portion of the West Roseville Specific Plan. The original project boundaries of the plan area will remain the same. A Notice of Preparation and Initial Study have been prepared by the city for this project and are available for public review. The purpose of the notice is to notify interested parties that a SEIR will be prepared and a public meeting will take place, and given people a chance to comment. Written comments are due by 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30. Send to Tricia Stewart, City of Roseville Planning, Housing and Redevelopment, 311 Vernon St., Roseville, CA 95678. ~ Sena Christian
