We, the people, are so very fortunate to have a 21st century president in Barack Obama.

He is young, vibrant, a doer and not just a great smile. His lovely family is a testament of our past mistakes. That we as a nation discriminate against any group of people is a loss to the God-given potential of every human being.

We have come a long way as the greatest nation in the world.

Let us not go backwards into hate and separateness. We have a great future ahead with endless possibilities. We learn from the past, but we can never go back. The hands of time always move forward.
