Former spa owner gets 210 days in jail
She double- and triple-charged at least 40 customers
A local spa owner who fraudulently charged customers was sentenced to 210 days in jail and placed on three years formal probation, the Placer County’s district attorney announced Thursday. Heather Lynn Collins, 35, from Lincoln, owned Radiance Spa and Salon at 1895 East Roseville Parkway, at Sierra College Boulevard. She was ordered to pay $10,500 in restitution to her victims, whose credit cards she double- and triple-charged, sometimes for fictional services or products. Collins was arrested in 2009 after 40 former customers filed complaints that she charged them using two non-existent companies, Balance Body Works and Enchanted Skin Services. In June, she pleading no contest to two felony charges of identity theft. - Staff report
