Earth-Friendly Transportation
Posted by: stephanieb

Electric Car Living had its grand re-opening today in Rocklin and debuted the Zap Xebra Sedan and Truck. They also had a truck demonstration and donated a tree to the Antelope Creek Elementary School in Rocklin. The 4th grade class was there to help plant the tree and learn about earth-friendly alternatives to city transportation.

Is that the one Mr Bean is always crashing into?

Actually, the car you are referring to in Mr. Bean is a Robin, which was manufactured from 1973-2001 by Reliant Motor Company in England. The car in the picture is called a Zap Xebra which is electrically powered, whereas the Reliant Robin that you noticed in Mr. Bean runs on gasoline. The Xebra is a newer car which debuted in May of 2006. Also, if my memory serves me correctly (I haven't watched the film in years.) the vehicle that makes an appearance in Mr. Bean is in fact blue, whereas the Zap Xebra capture in said photo is red and has a truck bed.

I do, however see how someone could easily mistake the Zap Xebra for the much older Reliant Robin, seeing as they both have three wheels and are small.
