I've voted absentee for decades. It just seemed like the best way to go. I have always taken my time filling out my ballot, consulting all the information I usually compile about the candidates and the issues in all the elections.

But today seems different. All the talk around the office and on television news has been about voting, polling places and the long wait people are anticipating. I'm feeling left out because I already voted. I don't know why. Something about this year's election makes me wish I hadn't already filled out my ballot. Oh well.

I guess it doesn't really matter how you vote, it's just important to do it.

What a historic day. To think that in just a few short hours the results will begin to pour in. Will we have an African American president or will a woman be in command of the second highest job in the land?

Whatever happens, we are making history today.
