Whether you love looking at beautiful holiday decorations or need ideas for your own personal decorating, the Loomis Basin Holiday Home Tour is the right event for you. Sponsored by the Loomis Basin Education Foundation, the tour is set for Saturday, December 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Seven homes, located throughout the Loomis Basin, will be beautifully decorated for the holidays. The featured homes include a Santa Fe Ranch home, a Mediterranean Villa, a Colonial Estate, an Executive Country home, a Tuscan Villa and a charming old-town Loomis Cottage. Viewers are in for a surprise at a Tuscan home located in gated Clos du Lac. “The homes being showcased in our tour are some of the most unique and beautiful in the Loomis Basin,” said Jennifer Edwards, co-chair of the home tour committee. “We are very lucky to be able to experience these homes! The level of detail in some of them is amazing, really spectacular.”

At one of the homes on the tour, La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries of Roseville will be fully furnishing the living areas. La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries is among one of the Platinum Sponsors of the event along with Wave Broadband, Susan Lee Giles of Digital Color Scapes, and Home Improvement Magazine. “Our sponsors for this event have been amazing. Many of them are bending over backwards to make this event a success,” added Edwards.

Tickets can be purchased on-line at www.lbef.net or at Pottery World in Rocklin, La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Roseville, The Christmas Village and Eisley's Nursery in Auburn, Blue Goose Produce, Loomis Chamber of Commerce and Flower Farm Nursery in Loomis, or Newcastle Produce. Prices per person are $25 in advance, and $30 tour day. Tourists should pick up tour maps and programs at Will Call, located at the Loomis Train Depot at the end of Horseshoe Bar and Taylor Roads, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit the seven K-8 schools in the Loomis Union School District. The Loomis Basin Education Foundation was established in 2006 and serves to improve educational opportunities and to support the strategic plan of the Loomis Union School District. L.B.E.F. is a nonprofit organization.
